End of Active April AND What is to Come

Words of Wisdom for the Week

“True confidence leaves no room for jealousy. When you know you’re great, you have no need to hate.” –Nicki Minaj

Welcome Back Extended College Tour students! After touring colleges in Philadelphia and New York City, you are ready to take on the end of the year like champions!

We have two months left in the program for this academic year! Can you believe that it was just yesterday we were having our opening day! Time sure does fly when your having fun.

This month we have two community meetings and guess what? One of them is this coming Wednesday, May 4th, from 3:00pm-5:30pm. We will be meeting at the YWCA. This meeting is extra special and filled with awesome for two reasons.

Numero uno: this meeting will be the wrap up for our Active April, come dressed to be up in the gym working on your fitness. Sneakers and clothes you don’t mind sweating in because we will be doing a variety of classes.

Number two reason: this community meeting is going to be so stupendous is at this very meeting YOU, yes YOU, get to be a part of shaping the future of this program. BUT HOW? So glad you asked my dear friend! Potential YA freshmen will be coming to be a part of and observe what its like be a part of the family. We need you to be ambassadors and welcome these students, if you see someone off by himself or herself, go talk to them. Get to know them!

Our internship fair was this past Tuesday and it was a success! We would like to thank all of our community partners who came out and opened doors for YA students to get internships for the summer.
